Whoops… 5 Ways to Bounce Back

Have you ever had one of those mornings after overdoing it where even your fingernails feel bloated? Yeah, me too. Indulging over a special weekend, like the 4th of July, is totally okay! The time you spent with friends and family is priceless. And I'm sure that third s'more was totally worth it! However, feeling bloated, having indigestion, and being totally lethargic is never fun. I take these feelings with welcoming arms because they remind me why I make daily healthy choices. Sometimes letting lose for a day can actually help re-motivate you. As long as it doesn't become a consistent pattern, one or two days is not going to completely derail your progress. So do this with me, big

Love Your Body Day 7 – Pamper Yourself!

You guys. I am seriously blown away by your growth and commitment to the Love Your Body series! I get a little choked up just thinking about how many of you have really put in the effort this past week to love the skin you're in. You have no idea what it means to me when you tell me that MY words are inspiring you. Just like any human being, there are days when I doubt myself. I am constantly analyzing the content I put out on Life in Spandex. I wonder if people resonate with my message, if it matters to them, if they are getting anything out of my content. Love Your Body Day 6 – Spread the Love!

My a$$ is perfection." If only she stopped there!! It's so easy for us to look at ourselves and see what we don't like. Even though she loved her body as a whole, she got temporarily caught up in the idea of having bigger boobs. We laugh at this because we know it's ridiculous. I

Love Your Body Day 4 – You Are So Much More Than A Number

For centuries, women have been told that their appearance determines their worth. Still today, we pay supermodels millions of dollars to portray "perfection." It's no wonder many of us deal with overall self-esteem issues stemmed from how we look or how much we weigh! When I was in college, I struggled with disordered eating and exercise. It got to a point where it was disrupting my day-to-day life. My whole day was focused on food (or not eating it) and exercise in a very unhealthy way. I decided a quick fix would be to find another hobby besides the gym and cooking. I truly love to workout and to eat healthy, but it got to a point where it consumed me. This is when I
