Every time your heart beats, it takes the same amount of time to pause. There is an ebb and flow to life – ups and downs, periods of stress and periods of rest. There is also a time and place to continue doing exactly what you’ve been doing. It can also become very clear when it’s time for a change.
I’ve decided it’s time for a change. I want to take Life in Spandex one step further. I started this blog knowing I wanted to show women everywhere that fitness doesn’t have to be an all or nothing. How a certain body type doesn’t make you healthy or unhealthy, beautiful or unattractive. That no matter how you look, you can feel like a rock star by picking up a set of weights and building up a sweat. That eating healthy isn’t a punishment for how your body looks or doesn’t look, it’s a way of showing self-love. And, most importantly, how exercising and eating well can enhance your life without consuming it. I now know how I can get my message and workouts out to as many women as possible!
It’s no secret that the majority of us feel stressed out. There’s little time left between chasing our dreams, blow drying our hair, spending time with friends and family, and making a difference in this world. I get it! I work a full-time 40+ hour/week desk job, teach group exercise classes, put my heart and soul into growing Life in Spandex, and coach my Nutrition clients. I juggle all this while trying to manage my social life, fit in exercise, and find time to cook healthy meals.
One of the biggest shifts I’ve seen in my ability to fit it all in without getting overwhelmed is by cutting out my commute time to and from the gym. Yes, this was done by exercising at the place I work. But, just because you don’t work at a gym doesn’t mean you can’t benefit from nixing the commute. If you’re lucky enough to live close to your gym, fantastic! If not, I still have a solution for you.
So, I think it’s time to take a break. A blogging break to be exact. I will be taking a break from writing weekly posts to put together an affordable guide specifically designed to help busy women like you and me adopt a healthy lifestyle from the comfort of our homes, hotel rooms, or wherever your #cray life takes you. Say goodbye to the gym meat market, rushing to and from the facility, waiting for machines, getting in and out of shape depending on your travel schedule, and feeling like you’re going at this whole #fitlifetransformation alone! Now, if you want to go to the gym, not a problem. I personally feel more focused when I’m in a gym setting. You can totally complete the program in a gym too.
Not only is this program simple and efficient, it works! Brace yourself for a higher metabolism (yes, you’ll start burning MORE calories while sitting at your laptop), energy boost, better sleep-quality, less stress, and a whole lot of #girlpower confidence to get you through a busy day of hustling.
